I'm not sure where you are in the midst of the season, but this weekend in Brockway is just stunning. Vibrant colors are everywhere and the sun is back on the forecast just in time for a weekend of birthday celebration here at the Vivian house! Our littlest turned 2 and Alex is 8 and we're ready for a whole weekend of celebration complete with homemade gelato cake, pizza, fires and s'mores! And the sunshine looks like it's going to make for perfect Autumn outdoor time. And, since we have a heifer looking like she's going to calve in the next 48 hours, we'll take all the sunshine we can get!
The kids are also trying on their costumes with so much anticipation, so we've dressed up The Scoop Shoppe just in time for the weekend! And of course, we had to bring out one Halloween themed gelato flavor to get things started! Which brings me to our brand new, seriously delicious and nostalgic dirt and worms. We start with black cocoa powder (the ingredient in Oreos!) and create an intensely dark gelato, fold in cups and cups of finely crushed Oreos and finish with an optional gummy worm or two! It's the taste of childhood and I'm obsessed with it, I know you're going to love it! And we also added a brand new gelato this week: apple cinnamon roll! it's our classic cinnamon roll gelato but first: filled with fresh apple flavor! It's the taste of fall and I think you'll love it, too.
