Welcome, September.

"Ah, September! You are the doorway to the season that awakens my soul." -Peggy Toney Horton

The unofficial end of summer, the start of football season and a return of pumpkin- all in one week. PHEW! It's equally exciting and sad, all mixed in one. And top if off with temperatures finally matching summer that arrived a few weeks too late and we're all whirling around until we're dizzy! Is it just me?!

This week also marked the 15th birthday of our Molly, and that feels just such a big deal. It has Jesse and I looking back at old photos with wonder but also worrying that this farm business has taken away so much potential from our kids. Vacations? Not with dairy cows. Traveling the National Parks Map? Dairy cows. Our kids don't ask for much, and they aren't the ones making us feel guilty, but you always have that little twinge of panic as a parent, I think. The worry that we're not doing enough. It's similar to the end of summer panic as school starts, too. So I think we're still just sitting with that as we wrap our heads around having a 15 year old daughter. I'll take all the prayers and advice you guys have to give, because we're seriously all ears!

But as I said above, it's pumpkin season, apparently. So we jumped in at The Scoop Shoppe with a good list this week in the case:

  • Pumpkin
  • Wildberry Lavender
  • Cookie Butter
  • Chocolate Caramel
  • Peanut Butter No Bake
  • Turtle
  • Vanilla

Have the best weekend!
