Welcome, October.

The leaves in PA are bursting with color, showing off Autumn in all its glory. We were spoiled this September with some of the most beautiful weather I can remember—bright blue skies, golden sunrises and sunsets, warm days, and cool, crisp nights. It’s been the perfect backdrop for apple-picking, fall strolls (see the link below for Cook Forest must-do's!), and Friday night lights.

Soccer season is winding down, but we’re soaking up every bit of this beautiful welcome to fall. And this week, we’re especially excited to bring back our collaborative apple cider with Keller’s Greenhouse in Kersey. This partnership has been such a joy—a way to bring you the freshest local apples transformed into the most delicious cider around. We’ll also have fresh Honeycrisp and Snapdragon apples for sale (both known for their sweet crunch).

Of course, the Scoop Shoppe is stocked for October’s first weekend! We’re open our late-summer hours:

  • Thursday, Friday, Sunday & Monday: 2–9pm

  • Saturday: 12–9pm

And Friday night is extra special—Homecoming in Brockway! The parade will march right down Main Street at 6pm, complete with the Brockway band and Homecoming candidates. We’ll have front-row seats from the Scoop Shoppe, and we’d love for you to join us. Grab a cone and cheer on the Rovers before heading to the field for Friday night lights.

Here’s what’s on the flavor board this weekend:

  • “Go, Rovers!” – strawberry gelato swirled with Oreo cookie pieces, a sweet tribute to red & black spirit.

  • Pumpkin Snickerdoodle – fresh pumpkin gelato with chunks of our house-made snickerdoodle cookies.

  • Buckeye – a fan favorite with peanut butter gelato and ribbons of chocolate.

  • Turtle – sea salt caramel gelato with toasted pecans and chocolate pieces.

  • Honeycomb – real honey blended with crunchy bits of toffee.

  • Crème Anglaise – our classic, creamy vanilla bean.

It’s the perfect weekend to stop in—whether for farm-fresh cider, crisp apples, or a homemade waffle cone piled high with gelato.

Have the best weekend,

Lisa
