Our First Year At The Scoop Shoppe

It's so funny how time can play tricks on us. Regarding time, having a business is, in some ways, similar to having a baby. You know how that first year with a new baby feels like forever and also a blink of an eye all at once? Like how has it been a whole year already and also, I don't even remember the person I was before this baby came. It's a very similar time warp with a new business. I think a lot of the first weeks to months were a total blur- I don't remember how much inventory we ordered or what flavors were most popular or how in the world we managed to take a week to Cook Forest that first month. But also, it feels like we're kind of old pros already and have been at this forever.
While I wish the latter were the complete truth, I think we all know we're covering much chaos behind these doors. From managing the farm to raising our family and working our off-farm jobs to growing a team and coaching local sports: phew. It's been a year. Some days Jesse and I seem to have it all together and others? We're dreaming of moving to Costa Rica and living off the land. (I'm completely kidding but can't say this hasn't been brought up in coversation...)
But it's been a year, and all in all, a really good one. We've had support from our local community and some of our far away community that's made the trip or sent heartfelt words and just so you know- it all means the world to us. We couldn't be here without you. And we wouldn't have chose any town other than Brockway to begin this journey.
So thank you. From all of us at the Scoop Shoppe.
And stop out to celebrate our birthday with us! Saturday and Sunday we'll be scooping 12pm until 9pm, Monday 2pm until 9pm. .And all day Saturday we'll be giving away random free gelato cups/cones! And ballons galore! It's a fun place to grab a sweet treat and we can't wait to celebrate a big birthday with you!
We're truly so glad you're here.
xx,
Lisa
