Happy Friday, friends.

I’ll be honest,  this isn’t exactly the warm, sunshine-filled weekend welcome I was hoping to write. The weather has other plans. But some of the best moments don’t need perfect conditions. They just need good people and we’re lucky to have plenty of those here.

Friday night is Brockway High School’s prom, and it truly makes us so happy to be even a small part of it. We brought back our Strawberry Oreo gelato, dressed up in red and black for the occasion,  because we first made it for homecoming, and it just felt right to have it again for another once-in-a-lifetime kind of night. There’s something really special about a small-town prom… the excitement, the dresses, the corsages, all of it. And what makes it even better? A few of our own scoop girls are going tonight. We’ll be cheering them on the whole way. And celebrating by offering them a discount for stopping by in their prom gear!

On a real note for a minute — this week was one of those behind-the-scenes kinds of weeks for us. The not-so-fun parts of running a farm and a business: budgets, ordering, staffing, bills… all the things that don’t get seen but always need done. And if I’m being honest, sometimes it feels heavy. There’s something a little vulnerable about pouring your heart into a $5 product you make fresh, by hand, right here on the farm. If you’re out there running a business too, especially in food, just know we see you. It’s not always easy, and you’re not alone in that. But we’re going to keep going, one scoop at a time, because this community makes it worth it. Every visit, every share, every kind word. It truly keeps this dream going, and we are so grateful for you.
