Happy Friday 5/15/26

Happy Friday!
After what feels like months of absolute torture waiting for warmer weather, this weekend is ready to deliver! I think this May has already tested our patience more than I like to admit, with so many days of freezing, rain and cold. By this time of the year, I've normally planted flowers and container gardens but this year feels like a true test of good old Pennsylvania patience. But alas: this weekend's temps looks perfect for all things spring.
And that includes a trip for ice cream, of course! Our menu this week has some flavors you guys have been asking for over and over, so we can't wait to bring them back:
- Peanut Butter Cookie Dough- our peanut butter gelato with house-made edible peanut butter cookie dough pieces!
- Chocolate Marshmallow- previously Hot Cocoa (but we're channeling warm energy right now!). Our milk chocolate gelato with marshmallow fluff and a sprinkle of mini marshmallows.
- Toasted Coconut- our scoop girl, Ella is celebrating her birthday this week and this flavor was her request! Coconut cream and toasted coconut flakes for a taste of the tropics.
- Strawberry- fresh strawberries pureed into our classic base.
- Espresso Chip- one of my favorites! An espresso soaked gelato with chocolate flakes.
- Sea Salt Caramel- a longstanding classic. Salty caramel gelato with an extra swirl of caramel.
- Creme Anglaise- always available, our classic vanilla bean.

Links + finds from the week:
- I love nothing more than a classic farmhouse. This makes me ready for a paint update!
- I've made this salad on repeat this past few weeks- the perfect way to eat healthy but not feel like you're missing a thing.
- I don't know why I didn't get these pan organizers sooner! I use one for pots/pans (they even hold up my Staub Dutch Oven) and another for cake pans/pie and casserole dishes and they have made the simplest organization in our kitchen.
- Looking for a local glamping getaway? We love the cabins by Gateway Lodge in Cook Forest!
- This is exactly how I feel trying to bring my kids inside each night. Sigh.
Jesse and I are so excited to sneak away for a weekend (the first time since 2018) for our anniversary: 16 years! Sheesh! And of course, it's taking an army to keep things afloat while we're gone: we're so grateful for our crew.
Have the best weekend!
xx,
Lisa
