Happy Friday

Somehow, we've managed to reach the final weekend in July?! Goodness, this summer is flying by. From river floats to county fairs and early (and surprisingly chilly!) morning walks, we're soaking in the every slow summer day as the natural pace starts to speed up, little by little. The kids don't want to hear the school word spoken aloud, so we're tip-toeing around it while we hold onto the rest of summer!

And so much fun summer is starting in our little community that I can't wait to share (see the links below): from open flower farms to our new Sunday Market in town and county fair season, it's such a fun time to live in our small town!

As for our farm-made ice cream, we're still pushing through, excited for the fresh ingredients in sight (blueberries! peaches! apples!). This weekend is a fun take on combinations and I can't wait to see which combo you discover: from black cherry + pistachio to coffee toffee + chocolate brownie or banana split with black cherry. I think mixing two flavors this week is definitely the way to go.

The gelato case:

  • Peanut butter Oreo
  • Chocolate fudge brownie
  • Black cherry
  • Blueberry matcha
  • Pistachio
  • Banana Split
  • Coffee Toffee
  • Vanilla bean creme anglaise

We hope you'll swing by Main Street in Brockway this week for a chance to try our new gelato!

Links + finds from this week:

  • Its County Fair Season!
  • Meadow + Twilight Flower Farm's you-pick season STARTS TODAY! She's open starting today 5pm until dusk Wednesday through Sunday (closed Monday and Tuesday). Located just outside of Brookville at 1959 McGill Road in Corsica- it's an easy drive to the most beautiful farm where you can wander the flower fields (all ages will LOVE this!) and pick your own bouquet. Accepts cash and Venmo.
  • If that's not enough, Brockway's Sunday Market starts this Sunday! Find makers and vendors right downtown in Brockway (by the football field, at Kaimann's Pavilion) every Sunday through fall from 3pm until 6pm.
  • We're so excited to release a limited-batch blueberry yogurt this weekend: made with local blueberries for the perfect tart bite of summer!
  • It's zucchini season and this recipe has me dreaming up a, dare I say it: zucchini gelato??

Have the best weekend.

xx,

Lisa
