Doesn't that quote nail the essence of July? It's the peak of summer and though I wish I could agree "the livin's easy", I do love summertime so, so much. The endless days, warm summer nights, fireflies, blooming flowers and gardens, barefoot walks in the grass, pool days, canoe trips. Summer is glorious.
I took our oldest and youngest to a long weekend softball tournament across the state this past weekend- they made the Senior League Girls Softball state tournament and came home with a second place trophy! It was fun, but as you know, dairy farmers don't get to leave home often, so it was surprisingly lonely (most of the time was just Em and I) and I was so glad to get back to the farm, our usual chaos and our home filled with people! I think it's so funny how I long to get away, but then can't wait to come home. Can anyone else relate?
I'm so excited to show you guys our new custom Scoop Shoppe gelato cups! I've been in design/planning mode of these cups for months now, making it so fun to hold them in my hand! I used the same kind of design as our shoppe stickers and "get to know us" brochures, and I love it's vintage/whimsical feel. The colors are fun and light and I love them so much. I can't wait for you to see them in person! Jesse and I filled our first new cup with peaches and cream and cookie butter for the most delicious take on a peach cobbler. 10/10 recommend.
This week's gelato list is GOOD, with a return of cookie butter and peaches and cream, and the addition of TWO new flavors!
