Happy Friday

"I could never in a hundred summers get tired of this."

It's somehow the last Friday in June, and summer is HERE! Real summer sunshine and temperatures have made their way to Western PA and we're all loving the lazy, hazy days. We've been frequenting the local pool and sprinklers and splash pad! The baby loves the water and has made the swimming season fun for all of us: she squeals and splashes and has so much fun watching us all swim. The warm weather is so welcome over here.

Speaking of summer: our bucket list is going strong! I know I've mentioned this before, but every season we create a family bucket list, and it's become one of my kids favorite traditions. (and pssst: it's so simple!) We pick some of our favorite seasonal activities and list them on a homemade poster and cross them off as we complete them. They don't have to be extravagant: think "make s'mores" and "have a water balloon fight" to "kayak the Clarion River" and "go to an amusement park"! It can be as simple or exciting as your family wants, but it's a great way to practice some gratitude for the season. At the end of summer, when we all feel so sad it's over, we love to look back at all the fun things we did.

And since "go get ice cream" is a regular at our house, I can't wait to share the summer gelato flavors of this week!

S'mores: the gelato of summer! Real toasted marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate form the flavor of a s'more in the cold, creamy gelato you love.

Pineapple coconut:  it's pina colada, but make it gelato! Fresh pineapple and coconut cream are blended into a tropical gelato perfect for a hot summer day.

Buckeye: the fan favorite peanut butter gelato with chocolate chips is back!

Coffee toffee: coffee gelato with a caramel swirl and heath toffee pieces.

Chocolate hazelnut: hazelnut butter and cocoa powder: a gelato that tastes like Nutella!

Sea salt caramel: salty caramel, a simple classic that's irresistible.

Creme anglaise: our classic vanilla bean.

Whether you're here for a cup, a homemade waffle cone or a flight: this week offers some perfect summer gelato flavors! We're still scooping summer hours: but we're thinking of staying open until dark- I'd love your thoughts?!

Have the best summer weekend!

So glad you're here,
