Farewell, June!

Summer brings such a feeling of slow-down in the days but sheesh: the days sure fly by! It seems like we were just welcoming June and now we're preparing to live its last weekend days. Our summer bucket list is still pretty heavy around here, leaving a lot of hope for July. But in June? We crossed off floating the river, having a slip 'n' slide party, multiple trips to Parker Dam and so much fishing! So we're off to a good start, I'd say. But hang in there, because if you're anything like me you're already feeling the weight of summer break half over and so much left you'd like the kids to enjoy. I have to stop myself and think about summer break when I was a kid: lots of bike riding, swimming, fires and yet it felt SO FULL. Without big trips and lists, I still remember loving summers. So let's all pat ourselves on the back today: our kids are having fun, and we're doing our best, which really is good enough. 

There, there.
