Farewell, January

“It seems like everything sleeps in winter, but it’s really a time of renewal and reflection.”

It's the final day of January and we've made it through the darkest weeks of winter, all of this feels monumental, doesn't it? The start of a new year brings so much excitement around here, but I especially look forward to the goal planning and dreaming for our family and farm business. And 2025 has some BIG things in store for us, I'm so excited to share with you all so soon! I hope your new year is off to a good start, too.

This week, Jesse and I spent two (versus our usual single day) days in the creamery catching up on gelato, and with so much goodness. Not only were we able to restock some Buckeye, but we brought back some classic stracciatella (vanilla with chocolate flakes/pieces) and a brand new gelato: OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIE! Since we started making gelato in 2021, I've been thinking of bringing this flavor to life, but I couldn't pull the trigger until now. We settled on a cream cheese gelato base to mimic a cream cheese frosting with generous chunks of chewy oatmeal raisin cookies and a sprinkle of cinnamon. We finished this flavor with a handful of vanilla-soaked raisins for the right amount of sweetness. I'm so excited for you guys to try this one. And it's here in our farm shoppe this weekend, Saturday and Sunday!
